TECHNICAL NOTES FABRIC Sorona® is a polyester microfiber composed of approximately 38 percent plant-derived fibers. Soft, durable and insulating, it is the environmentally friendly alternative to spandex and animal feathers. The creation of this innovative new material has its origin in an awareness of the impact of synthetic materials on the environment. Scientists therefore began research in the 2000s to create a more environmentally friendly, but above all, less polluting material.
